From the River Bed
After capturing all the images I wanted from mill level, I climbed down to the river bed to try to get a different perspective. This is it.
This likely is one of the last, if not the last, photographs that will be taken from the river bed because the day following our visit, the landowner posted and fenced off access to the river and began armed patrols to keep people out. That day, there was apparently some "unpleasantness" with another group of photographers, warning shots were fired and the Gunnison County Sheriff was called in. Most don't know the mill is on private property and just assume free and unfettered access.
