Looking Back
This is a view of the south side of the Anthracite Range near Ohio Pass. In spring and summer they are awash with waterfalls. The range is part of the West Elk Mountains and the highest peak shown here is Ohio Peak (12,271'). The high point is actually an unnamed peak on the west end of the range (12,385'). The Anthracites are a small range - only four miles in length. Kebler Pass sits on the north side of the range and the beautiful and fertile Ohio Creek Valley spreads out to the south.
