Curls, Cracks and Clouds
Here's an area of the flats where the pieces of mud are much smaller within the large pieces and have curled up. My explanation is that recent rains softened the surface and a quick drying period caused them to "bake" and curl. This "scientific" theory is loosely based on "WAG" Theory.
