The Little Angel
My favorite monument in Bonaventure is that of a little girl with angel wings holding our a scallop shell. The graves of George Johnson Baldwin and his wife, Lucy Harvie Baldwin, rest in front of her.
Often visitors place flowers in the shell which represents baptism. The verse in the alcove behind the angel girl is from scripture: Mark 10:15: “Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.”
