General Grant Sequoia
This is the General Grant sequoia tree. For many years it was believed to be the largest of the sequoias but precise measurement methods show the General Sherman to be slightly larger. Nevertheless, here are the eye-popping statistics:
Height - 267.4 feet Circumference at ground level - 107.6 feet Volume - 46,608 ciboc feet
The General Grant was proclaimed "The Nation's Christmas Tree" by President Calvin Coolidge in 1926.
