Doug Beezley Photography | Colorado | Crested Butte

Many of the photos in this album are the absolute result of serendipity - I was just at the right place at the right time. My younger son, Craig, and I had planned a fall fishing trip centered around the East, Taylor, and Gunnison Rivers and the plan called for staying in Crested Butte. Little did we know that two days before we arrived, a huge snowstorm had dropped nearly 5 feet of snow on the West Elk Mountains just to the southwest of Crested Butte. I had hoped to see some aspen changing colors but was stunned at what awaited us on Kebler Pass. I hope you enjoy the drama and color of the aspen and a few of our fishing shots. That was the purpose of the trip.
