Doug Beezley Photography | Fly Fishing | North Georgia

If you're on the hunt for huge trophy trout, North Georgia streams such as Duke's Creek, Chestetee River, Chattahooche ("the Hooch") River and The Soque are the places to be. I actually experienced a two day trip a couple of years ago when the smallest trout I caught (of twenty-five) was over four pounds. The largest was a hen rainbow that was 31 1/2" long and weighed 15 pounds 3 ounces. For one shining day she was the state record rainbow. One day later, an 18 pounder was landed. I have a graphite mount of her in my office.
